The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet with orange squeezers, vegetable juicers, and egg dishes. Dinner includes a 4-course menu or à la carte options using regional ingredients. The bar offers cocktails, local beers, and wine by the glass. The summer terrace provides Matterhorn views for coffee, snacks, or wine.

Iremia Spa Access

All guests receive free access to the Iremia Spa, which includes a bio sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath, Kneipp pool, jacuzzi, and relaxation room with Matterhorn views. The spa is open daily from 2pm to 7:30pm. Massages and Jean d'Arcel cosmetic treatments are available for an additional fee.

Zermatt Location & Transport

The hotel is in Zermatt's Winkelmatten area, 300m from the Wichje bus stop (red line). A free electric shuttle runs from Zermatt train station between 8am and 7pm. The Matterhorn Express valley station is a 5-minute walk. The Forest Fun-Park Zermatt is 500m away, and the Gornergrat railway is 1km from the hotel.

Ski and Summer Activities

Winter offers ski-in/ski-out access directly to the slopes. Summer activities include hiking on 400km of trails, mountain biking on 12.5km routes, and via ferrata climbing. The hotel rents e-bikes for CHF 18 per hour. A playground with barbecue facilities is located by the lake.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at this hotel. The rooms offered an amazing view of the Matterhorn from the balcony and had a convenient kitchen, but the thin walls and loud noise from water pipes were a downside. The furnishings were nice, although some kitchen utensils were worn out.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The stunning direct view of the Matterhorn from some rooms was truly breathtaking, but the need for refurbishment was noticeable. The location offered superb views of the Matterhorn but was quite a trek to reach some amenities. The dining experience was fantastic with a great variety of options, while the hotel missed delivering the promised friendly and home atmosphere.
